Allyl (3-Methylbutoxy) acetate er en fargeløs væske med sterk, fruktig galbanum lukt med ananasmodifisering. Det kan fremstilles ved omsetning av kloreddiksyre med isoamylalkohol i nærvær av natriumhydroksyd og afaseoverføringskatalysator, og deretter behandle den resulterende natriumamylglykolat med allylalkohol.
